Jacob Jarek

Jacob Jarek is born in Krakow, Poland and raised in Norway and a graduate from The National Film School of Denmark. Jacob was independently a co-producer on Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Only God Forgives” (2013) and line produced Jonas Arnby’s feature “When Animals Dream” (2014) which premiered in the Cannes Critic’s Week. Through Profile Pictures he co-produced Grímur Hákonarson’s “The Rams” (2015) which won the Cannes Un Certain Regard and was sold worldwide and produced Ali Abbasi’s feature film “Shelley” (2016) which world premiered at Berlinale Panorama in 2016 and was sold to among other IFC Midnight in the US. His most recent release was Fenar Ahmad’s Darkland (2017) which topped the Danish box-office and have sold wordwide. Jacob’s upcoming release in 2017 is Jens Dahl’s “3 things” (2017) starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Jacob is an alumni of the 2013 Inside Pictures programme.
